This 25 year old is a great up-and-coming performer trying to make her name in the industry. She shows stage presence and interacts well with many different audiences. She sings in many difference styles and genres, spanning from 50’s to present day material, including songs from musicals, motown, pop and rnb; from Abba to Queen, Shania Twain to Sugababes. Furthermore, Sharon likes to emulate her idols Whitney Houston, Eva Cassidy and Anastacia. This eclectic musical interest has developed her song writing.
The millennium took her on a tour of Barbados for 2 weeks where she visited churches as part of a gospel choir. This further made Sharon realise how much she wanted to make a career for herself in the industry so she signed up for the recognised “Access to Music” course. This entailed learning about music technology, theory, business, history as well as working in a band and duo. Sharon learnt to play the guitar and keyboard although it was still her voice that revealed itself as her strongest attribute.
Sharon then had the privilege to work with the likes of Sue Quinn (vocals for Kung Fu Fighters) and receive vocal lessons with a well known tutor in the industry; Clare (vocals for Lucid) and Shiela Gott (Take That vocal coach)
Embarking on a professional career in the industry, 2003 took Sharon to South Wales where she did her first summer season at a holiday park as a singer/entertainer taking part in the production shows, performing for people of all ages. Excited by this experience, Sharon continued in Lanzarote where she did a winter season for a further 4 months in the same capacity although then incorporating her own Cabaret act. To pursue and develop her talents on the Mediterranean coast, she moved to Corfu and Cyprus where she was signed up for more productions as lead vocal.
Sharon currently finds herself in the Mediterranean once more as well as the Carribean as she is working on a Cruise with Ocean Village.
Whilst developing her covers Sharon also finds the time to work on her own material, with different people and places; such as recording in the Fielden Youth Centre, Airtight Studios, SSR Studios and others. In addition, Sharon has sung live on the radio for “In the City” festival, the Chorlton Unity Festival, performed at the Comedy Store, Pop Café & Band on the Wall.
More recently she has shifted her focus to contemporary styles using guitar based music as her inspiration so that Sharon may build on her repertoire of her own songs.
You may recognise Sharon following her ‘extra’ work for HollyOaks, Sorted, Cutting It, Vincent & TV Adverts
Overall, this talented and outgoing young vocal has a strong soulful yet unique voice. With her breath-taking renditions, excellent lyrics and wide range, looks to become a quickly recognised vocalist developing a sustainable career in the Industry for herself
